The *best* chess-playing program is Rybka4 (see http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=6382). It's very strong, and very hard to beat. I'm a fairly decent player, but I haven't beaten it yet. chess titans is easy to beat if you do not change the settings options to harder. Once you do that it is very challenging
